A 24 year old female and a 17 year old male are facing a number of charges following an assault and unlawful confinement.
Police were called to a report of a disturbance in a residence in the 300 block of Avenue Q South at approximately 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2011. At the scene officers found a 23 year old female suffering from minor injuries. She reported that the 24 year old female and 17 year old male had assaulted her outside the residence and then forced her inside and continued their assault, refusing to let her leave. Upon investigation officers located approximately 2 grams of cocaine and $150 cash.
The 24 year old Saskatoon female will appear in Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, charged with Assault, Unlawful Confinement, Uttering Threats, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Cocaine), Possession of a Controlled Substance (Dilauded), and Possession of the Proceeds of Crime (cash).
The 17 year old Saskatoon male will also appear in Provincial Court on Wednesday, November 9, 2011, charged with Assault and Unlawful Confinement. He was also wanted on two outstanding warrants.
A 48 year old Saskatoon woman was also charged in the incident with obstructing officers while they were attempting to make the arrests. She will appear in Provincial Court at a later date.
