On November 26th 2011 at 1:26 p.m. the Saskatoon Police Service responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries in the 500 block of Circle Drive North. Witness testimony suggests that an eastbound vehicle on Circle Drive was attempting to make a left hand turn when it was struck by a westbound truck.
Despite having a young child in the vehicle, the operator of the westbound vehicle was the only occupant to sustain injuries as a result of the accident. The 32 year old operator was transported to City Hospital with injuries to his head and neck. Police have concluded their initial investigation and subsequently charged the 50 year old operator of the eastbound vehicle with failing to yield the right of way.
Traffic was disrupted for approximately 1 hour while police, fire, and MD attended to the scene. Traffic has now returned to normal
