Subject: Attempted Robbery With Violence - Avenue F And 20th Street West

Saskatoon Police are investigating an attempted robbery with violence which resulted in minor injuries to a 24 year old Saskatoon male.

Police were called to St. Pauls Hospital just after midnight, December 2, 2011, to a report of an injured male. The male reported that at approximately 10:30 p.m., December 1, 2011, he was approached by a male and a female at the intersection of Avenue F and 20th Street West. They demanded his wallet. When he refused the male suspect cut him several times with a knife. The victim managed to fend the suspects off and walked to the hospital where he received treatment for minor injuries.

The male suspect is described as being of First Nations descent, approximately 5'5" in height with a thin build and a shaved head. He was wearing a red jacket, a black toque and blue jeans at the time. The female is also described as being of First Nations descent, approximately 5'9" in height, with brown shoulder length hair. She was wearing a blue and white jacket and blue jeans at the time.
