Subject: Suspicious Person/Vehicle - Lansdowne Avenue And Isabella Street

Saskatoon Police are reminding parents, students to keep safety in mind following a report of a 15 year old girl being approached by an unknown male while on her way home from school.

The girl reported to Police that on Thursday, December 15, 2011, at approximately 5:30 p.m., she was walking in the area of Lansdowne Avenue and Isabella Street when an unknown male in a car made repeated requests for her to approach his vehicle. She ignored the male and kept walking, calling Police when she arrived home.

The male is described as Caucasian, in his 30's, with a full beard. He was wearing a dark hat and sunglasses at the time. The vehicle is described as a newer model Suzuki, two door, purplish-blue in colour.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact the Saskatoon Police Service at 975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Parents and children are reminded that whenever possible children should walk in pairs, stay in well lit and populated areas, beware of suspicious activity or behaviour, and report the activity to a parent or school staff member.
