Subject: 2 Vehicle Accident - Taylor Street & Circle Drive

On Thursday December 22, 2011, the Saskatoon Police Service responded to a two vehicle accident with injuries at the intersection of Taylor Street and Circle Drive. At approximately 10:59 p.m. a small Honda Civic carrying two occupants was struck by a westbound Ford Explorer as it attempted to make an eastbound turn onto Taylor Street.

Patrol officers determined that the 16 year old female driver of the Ford Explorer was responsible for disobeying a red light. She was also charged with failing to comply with license restrictions.

The 56 year old female driver of the Honda was transported to hospital for precautionary medical treatment. Her injuries are believed to be minor in nature.
