Subject: Semi Tractor / House - Collision / Fire

At approx. 2:50 AM this morning a southbound semi tractor and trailer on Hwy 11 left the road just south of the Hwy 16 overpass. The semi traveled over the southbound off ramp, over the sound berm and into an area where houses are under construction in the 400 Blk of Senick Bay in the Stonebridge area. The semi tractor came to a stop in the basement of one of these houses and this and a second house were set on fire. No injuries are known at this time but the semi driver is yet unaccounted for. Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services and Saskatoon Police Accident Reconstructions are presently on scene. There are no traffic restrictions on the highways but access to Senick Cres is restricted at this time.
