Subject: Live Web Camera - New SPS Headquarters Construction

Members of the public can now keep track of progress on the new Saskatoon Police Service Headquarters construction project with a simple click of their mouse.

A live web camera has been installed at the construction site showing new images of the project every five minutes. The web cam images can be viewed on the SPS website at saskatoonpoliceservice.ca under the New Headquarters tab, or at the City of Saskatoon's website at saskatoon.ca under Check This Out.

The construction project is on budget and on time, with a targeted completion date of October 2013. The concrete foundation has been poured and the main floor is being worked on. The facility will house all areas of the Service, which is now spread across 10 locations. It will contain evidence storage and forensic labs, a detention centre, an indoor shooting range, a cultural room and community gathering room.
