The 19 year old male motorcyclist involved in a collision on Idylwyld Drive at the entrance to 8th Street East has been pronounced deceased in hospital.

At approximately 7:50 p.m., April 11, 2012, the Saskatoon Police Service was called to a single vehicle collision involving a motorcycle near the intersection of Lorne Avenue and 8th Street East. Collisions Analysts determined that the lone rider of the motorcycle was attempting to exit Idylwyld Drive at 8th Street when he lost control of the motorcycle and struck a guardrail.

The male was transported to hospital by MD Ambulance with serious injuries and pronounced deceased a short time later. His name is not being released at this time.
