Subject: Charges Laid In Saskatoon's 3rd Homicide Of The Year

The Saskatoon Police Service has laid charges against two men in connection with the shooting death of Macdonald George (31yrs).

George was shot dead in the early morning hours of Monday May 21, 2012 in the 200 block of 2nd Avenue South.

A 23 year male from the Toronto area is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and charged with Accessory after the fact to Murder is a 21 year old man from Edmonton. The two charged were already in custody at the Saskatoon Correctional Center awaiting a bail hearing next week for firearms related charges.

The two will appear before a Justice of the Peace tomorrow and will appear in Saskatoon court on Monday to answer to the new charges. The names of the accused will not be released until they appear in court.

No other persons are expected to be charged in connection to this homicide.
