The Saskatoon Police Service, under the authority and pursuant to the Public Disclosure Act, is announcing that a high-risk sexual offender will be, upon his release January 27, 2012, residing within the Saskatoon area.

Jeffrey Allan Cromarty - DOB: September 12, 1971, has a history of committing sexual offenses against both male and female children under the age of 10 years to whom he is related or with whom he has established a position of trust.

Mr. Cromarty is described as a Caucasian male, 5'6" in height, 280 lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes. He is pictured with some facial hair but is now clean shaven.

Mr. Cromarty is required to:

a) Submit to supervision.

b) Reside in an approved residence and maintain a curfew of 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

c) Abstain from alcohol, drugs and other intoxicating substances.

d) Avoid areas where persons under the age of 16 years are present such as; public parks, swimming areas, playgrounds and schools.

e) Avoid seeking employment or volunteer opportunities in a capacity that would involve being in a position of trust toward a person under 16 years.

f) Shall not leave the jurisdiction without approval by a probation officer and the Saskatoon Police Service.

g) Avoid being in possession of weapons of any kind.

It is important to note that this information is intended to enable members of the public to take suitable preventative measures, and not to embark upon any form of vigilantism or unreasonable conduct toward this individual.

The Saskatoon Police Service wants the public to be aware of Mr. Cromarty's presence within the Saskatoon area and of his potential to re-offend. If any person is aware of any violations relating to the actions of Mr. Cromarty, please notify the Saskatoon Police Service immediately at 975-8300.
