Subject: Missing Person Located - Power Road & Dundonald Ave

On February 5, 2012 the Saskatoon Police Service was called to the west end of the city after receiving information about a body lying in a ditch near the City landfill entrance on Dundonald Avenue.

The initial report was received at approximately 12:05 p.m. after two patrons of the landfill noticed the motionless body in the ditch. Paramedics from MD Ambulance and Saskatoon Fire and Protective Services attended to the individual and were able to provide immediate medical assistance. The individual was unconscious and suffering from apparent hypothermia. Arrangements were made to transport the individual to a hospital for further medical treatment. The status of the individual is believed to be critical as of the time of this media release.

The individual has subsequently been identified as a 21year old male from Prince Albert who was reported missing on February 5, 2012 @ approximately 7:00 a.m.. The name of the individual has not been released pending notification of family members. Members of the Forensic Identification Section and Canine have been at the scene attempting to determine the individual's last movements prior to being discovered.
