On September 25th, at 11:30 a.m., Police responded to the Royal University Hospital regarding a child with suspicious, life threatening injuries. The child had been brought into RUH by ambulance from a residence in the 700 block of Avenue N South at approximately 9:00 a.m. that morning.

On September 27th, 2007 at 1:37 p.m. the 8 month old infant died in hospital. Police are treating the death as suspicious and Detectives from the Major Crime Section are following up the investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted Monday morning at 9:30 to determine the cause of death.
