Civilian Positions

Becoming a civilian member of the Saskatoon Police Service means you have chosen a career that is highly respected and appreciated by the residents of our city. It’s more than just a job, it’s a chance to join a team of dedicated professionals committed to making Saskatoon a safer community.

There is a broad range of opportunities at the Saskatoon Police Service and our civilian members come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Over 100 civilians work together with over 400 sworn officers toward common goals.

We have graduates of business colleges who use their diplomas to become CPIC operators, central records and criminal records clerks, finance and accounting clerks, and assistants in specialized units supporting sworn officers, investigators, and senior officers. View A Career Supporting Law Enforcement for further details.

We also have university graduates who use their degrees in planning and research analysis, human resource consulting, systems and programming analysis, IT security, and multimedia development. We attract civilian managers to lead some of our sections such as Finance, Technology Services, Legal Services, Human Resources, Asset Management, Central Records, and Public Affairs.

If you would enjoy a career that garners self esteem and respect from the community, offers new challenges, variety and security, then consider a career with the Saskatoon Police Service. Current employment opportunities are posted at City of Saskatoon and www.working.com
