Saskatoon Police have seized another vehicle as the result of excessive speed violations and poor driving history.
At approximately 11:15 a.m., March 26, 2013, a 55-year-old Meadow Lake man was charged with a speed violation and issued a ticket for $432.00 after Traffic Unit members observed his vehicle traveling 143 km/hr through the intersection of Marquis Drive and Highway 16. The speed limit here is 90 km/hr. The driver has a history of speeding and other violations and as such, had his vehicle seized under the Traffic Safety Act.
This is the third vehicle to be seized in two days. Saskatoon Police are reminding motorists that speed limits are set to ensure the safety of all those that use the roadways. They will be strictly enforced.
